When the Rogue Invitational announced it was coming to Aberdeen, there was never really a question. CrossFit has been a big part of my training for years, and the chance to watch the best in the world up close, on our side of the Atlantic, was too good to miss. Three years later, we haven’t missed one.
2024: year one in Scotland
November 2024 was the Invitational’s first time in Scotland, and our first time ringside. We got in early enough to walk the floor before the crowds arrived, the rig standing empty under the lights and the 2024 branding fresh on the floor.

Then it was three days of strongmen lifting things that shouldn’t be liftable, athletes flying through the rig, and us working out that the real magic happens down by the barriers, where the athletes come over after their events.

2025: back for more
Second time round we knew the drill: where to sit, when to head down, and where to wait. The Friday night session under the blue lights had one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever been part of.

2026: third time lucky
For the third Scottish Invitational we spent less time in our seats and more time at the barrier. It turned into the best year yet for meeting people.

Why we keep going back
You don’t get this anywhere else. The best athletes in the sport, a few feet away, happy to stop for a chat and a photo after leaving everything on the floor. Every year we come home inspired and straight back in the garage gym. See you in Aberdeen next year.
